We recently had the opportunity to stay at Ofland Hotels in Escalante Utah in a tiny cabin and it was incredible!

The Escalante area of Utah has it all - arches, slot canyons, waterfalls, rock formations, hiking, biking, climbing … you name it, it has it, and just when I thought exploring that area couldn’t get any better, staying at Ofland Escalante proved me wrong!

Ofland offers a variety of accommodations including tiny cabins, deluxe cabins (with private bathrooms), vintage airstreams and campsites with power options. No matter what you choose, every guest has full access to Ofland’s amenities:

+ nightly drive in moive theatre complete with vintage cars that you can use (they have a sound box and heat)

+ heated outdoor lodge with fire pits, books and games. The lodge also serves coffee, tea and light breakfast items in the morning.

+ food truck serving breakfast and dinner

+ hot tub and pool

+ general store to purchase to-go items, food, beverages, gifts, apparel, DIY meal kits and most importantly: FREE DOG TREATS

+ spa quality outdoor (heated) garden showers & bathhouse

+ drive in theater with nightly movies and free popcorn

+ laundry facility

+ NO PET FEES. Yes you read that right! Unless your dog causes any damage there are ZERO pet fees to bring your dog!!

If you are traveling to Utah with dogs or a family, you need to put Ofland on your list - it is an experience in itself, and I cannot recommend it enough. We packed our days hiking the local trials and slot canyons and relaxed at night cooking over the fire, enjoying the hot tub and watching a movie in a vintage ford car. If you are looking for the best pizza in town or to grab a craft beer, check out one Escalante Outfitters - nice people, great food and a fun local spot!

Some of our favorite hikes in the area:

Calf Creek Falls – easy out and back 6.2 mile roundtrip hike to a stunning waterfall.

Devils Garden – easy roadside hike with arches and rock formations

Willis Creek Slot Canron – easy, scenic slot canyon around 5 miles (rt) out and back with a creek flowing through the middle.

Big & Little Horn Slot Canyons – easy 6 mile (rt) out and back with sandy bottom and red winding slots.
