We recently took a trip to Yosemite National Park to stay at AutoCamp Yosemite and we had a blast! We have never visited the park in the spring and it was such a magical experience to witness the valley coming to life! I will elaborate more on the park itself toward the end of this entry, but first I want to talk about our stay at AutoCamp!

AutoCamp Yosemite is located just a short drive from the park entrance so it was a perfect spot to use as our basecamp for exploring the park and the local area! We stayed in an adorable Airstream with its own little outdoor area with a firepit grill, table and chairs. The interior was incredibly comfortable with a modern, clean design and everything about it made me want to move in!

There is a bar and restaurant onsite that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is a daily happy hour with half price drinks. They also offer complementary bikes to check out if you want to check out the property or local area on wheels.

The indoor and outdoor gathering spaces are perfect to grab a game or a book and relax and there are yard games by the pond as well. In addition there is live music and activities and you will get a text each day telling you what events may be going on while you are a guest.

AutoCamp Yosemite offers airstreams, cabins and luxury yurts and no matter what accommodation you choose, every guest has full access to all the property amenities which include:

+ beautiful clubhouse with and indoor fire pit, comfortable seating, a pool, outdoor fire pits, books and games. The clubhouse also serves complimentary coffee and granola.
+ Kitchen and bar (open 7 am to 10 pm daily) and happy hour with 50% off drinks from 4-6
+ general store with to-go items, food, beverages, gifts, apparel and DIY grill kits.
+ spa inspired bathrooms.
+ complementary bikes rentals.
+ daily activities like campfire readings, yoga and live music.

Now for visiting Yosemite National Park with your dogs!

I have been to Yosemite National Park a handful of times and I am always amazed at how dog-friendly the park truly is in comparison to other national parks we have visited. We tend to avoid national parks for this reason, but sometimes it is nice to check one off your list - especially one as beautiful as Yosemite!

While dogs are not allowed on the trails in the park, they are allowed on leash on paved roads, sidewalks, and bicycle paths (except when signed as not allowing pets), and you can see a great deal of, and in, the valley where they are allowed.

Here are the dog-friendly things we did on our visit:

+ Lower Yosemite Fall

+ Mirror Lake (dogs are allowed on the paved trail leading to the lake but are not allowed on the full loop once you reach the lake).

+ Cooks Meadow

+ Tunnel View

+ Curry Village pizza deck (great pizza and beer)

We wanted to take the drive up to Glacier Point (also a dog-friendly lookout) but the road hadn’t opened for the summer yet.

Overall we had the most wonderful trip and AutoCamp Yosemite was our perfect basecamp we hope if you visit you enjoy it as much as we did!
