I started this blog to share a little bit more about the things I love:

Dogs. Vans. Travel. Dog friendly destinations. Hiking. Adventure. Gear. Dogs (did I say that already?). Brands and Companies I am proud to work with. And so much more.

A little bit more about us:

Me: I grew up in Wisconsin (yes.. I LOVE cheese) and relocated to Upstate New York where I found my love for hiking and the outdoors. I became a registered 46er (climbing all the peaks in NY over 4k feet) and we hiked and adventured as much as we could there before relocating to the Portland, Oregon in 2016 and then relocated to Reno, NV in 2021. We have been exploring the west coast ever since! We added a camper van to our family almost four years ago so that we never had to leave the dogs behind. My dogs are my life and I am assuming in one way or another they are what brought you to this page! :)

Paul: Paul and I started dating in 2004 after we met on spring break in Key West. He grew up in Upstate New York so after I finished college I packed up my life and moved there. He loves the dogs, mountain biking and being outdoors as much as possible and he is almost always the one taking all my pictures. You will hear me mention him a lot and if you’d like, you can follow him on instagram @thepaulofthewild

Arlo: My little lemur. We rescued Arlo in 2018 from a rural animal shelter in the NE corner of Washington State. He was tied to a dog house the whole entire first year of his life and robbed of a puppyhood and was never taught proper dog behavior. Obsessed with cars and super reactive when we got him, he went to a board and train program with @flashdogtraining in Bend, OR, that changed his life for the better in a million different ways. He is fun loving, smart and energetic but mainly he is a happy pest! He has brought so much happiness to my life and our bond continues to grow each day!

Pepper: We adopted Pepper in 2022. We had just lost Finn four months prior. She was in need of a new situation and we were just the people to give it to her. She is such a little ball of happiness and we have had a lot of fun with her. We are looking forward to many years of adventure with her.

Finn: the O.G. My rock. We lost Finn in 2022 at 17 years old to a battle with lymphoma. He was a rescue from central New York and he had an accident in 2019 that resulted in a spinal stroke that left him paralyzed in his hind end. That never got the best of him though and he lived his best life wheeling around in his chair. He is the most loyal friend I have ever had, and no combination of twenty six different letters in our alphabet could ever express how much I love and miss him.

Tonto: My heart dog. Tonto lost his battle with lymphoma in June of 2018. He is missed beyond measure every second of every day. He lives on in every beat of my heart and I know he is always with me.
