Destination Leavenworth, WA - Our stay at Leavenworth Tiny House Village
When I think of Leavenworth, Washington, the first thing that comes to mind is the Bavarian themed village! Everything in the town is German themed and it is fun to walk around and see the architecture, grab a beer and do some shopping.
While it is fun to check out the town itself, my main reason for visiting this beautiful place is for the outdoor recreation. Tucked right near the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, the area is loaded with opportunities for adventure all year round. Whether you want to hike, bike, ski, snowboard, fish, snowmobile or backpack, Leavenworth has it all.
On this trip to Leavenworth we stayed at the magical Leavenworth Tiny House Village about 25 minutes from town. The Tiny House Village has five different Bavarian themed tiny homes, each uniquely designed, and they sit on 300 acres of land. Right out the front door of your own tiny house are trees, ponds and mountain views. There are over seven miles of trails right on the property and you could easily hike to the beautiful Lake Wenatchee, which is only a few miles away.
Our tiny house was Otto and he was 287 square feet of amazing! He was dog friendly and just the perfect size for us with a full bathroom (with a shower), a well-equipped kitchen, a loft with a queen and twin bed and a pull-out couch on the main floor. We spent a lot of time just admiring how functional and perfectly set up Otto was.
On our trip, the boys decided to head to Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort, about an hour south of the Tiny House Village, and we decided to visit some local vineyards after playing with the dogs on the local trails.
If you are looking for some spots to check out on your visit, head to the Leavenworth, Washington, homepage to learn more about the area! Some of our favorites from our trip? Well Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort was a hit for the boys, Icicle Ridge Winery and Plain Cellars were a hit with with girls, and Icicle Brewing and Bushel & Bee Taphouse were a hit with us all!
Feel free to reach out with any questions about things to do in Leavenworth or the Tiny Houses! We had a blast and we can’t wait to head back to visit the Leavenworth Tiny House Village!
