Destination San Juan Island, WA - Our stay at Lakedale Resort
I had been wanting to go to the San Juan Islands since our move to the Pacific Northwest almost five years ago and I finally was able to make that dream come true.
From the second we drove on to the ferry to head to the island I felt like a child in awe of everything around me. Some places you feel an instant connection with, and this was one of them for me.
We were welcomed at Lakedale Resort in a dog-friendly cabin on Friday Harbor and it was everything I dreamed it would be and more! It was 80+ acres of bliss and I spent hours just walking around the property taking it all in.
San Juan Island is quaint, quiet and scenic and we felt spoiled staying Lakedale Resort the property is a destination in itself and offers more than we could have packed into a short weekend!
Our cabin was dog friendly, waterfront and had two queen bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sleeper sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and fireplace. Lakedale Resort also has a lodge with luxury lake front rooms, deluxe yurts, canvas clamping tents, cabins and cottages, a vintage Airstream, and camping and RV space for rent! It truly has something for everyone with any budget.
Complementary bikes, giant chess, bocce ball, and horseshoes are offered to keep you busy as well. If you want to get on the water, there are three fresh spring water lakes for swimming, as well as aqua cycle boat, paddle boat, paddle board, rowboat and canoe rentals.
If you want to check the San Juans off your list, or if you have been and you are itching to get back - I highly recommend staying @lakedaleresort - it was above and beyond what I was expecting, and I already miss it!
