My obsession with L.L.BEAN Bean Boots

PostImage1.jpg

It’s fall and that means it’s @llbean Bean Boot season and let me just tell you, I am happily wearing mine every single day! Great boots take you great places and I love all my L.L.Bean boots. I spend my summer in their hiking boots backpacking and hiking, but when fall hits, there is just something extra special to me about lacing up an actual pair of Bean Boots and heading outside - whether I’m at the beach, in the woods or walking around the city! Rain, snow or shine they help me stay comfortable where I feel my best: OUTSIDE!

Did you know that Bean Boots are hand sewn and made right here in the USA at the L.L.Bean Brunswick, Maine, factory? Invented in 1912 by Leon Leonwood (L.L.)Bean himself for hunting, the Bean Boot has become an icon over the past 100+ years! If you know anything about Bean boots you’ll know that there is quite the variety - different fabrics, linings, heights, colors and laces. Each year between 500-800k pair are made and some take over 90 minutes to make depending on the style! What is also awesome? Bean boots can be re-soled up to three times as long as the leather is in good shape.  If your soles are wearing out, a new rubber bottom can be sewn to the worn in leather of your favorite pair!

I personally would like one of each style but right now the 8”, tumbled-leather chamois flannel-lined boots are my favorite! I also have been digging my new buffalo-plaid bean ski socks and Arlo’s new Bean Boot collar and leash. Yes, you can just say it now. I have a Bean obsession!
