“Friendsgiving” with a pet-friendly Vacasa rental!
Sometimes you just need to grab your best friends (four and two legged) and get away! Renting with Vacasa makes this easy for everyone - especially when it comes to finding dog-friendly rentals.
This year for “Friendsgiving” we headed to the Oceanside, on the Oregon Coast and stayed with Vacasa at Grand View. Aptly named as the view definitely is grand! Sitting at the top of a hill overlooking the coast, this four-bedroom home is dog-friendly and sleeps up to ten. It was the perfect place for our gathering.
With a mix of bohemian and beachy vibes, the interior of Grand View and is clean, modern and spacious and gave us plenty of room to spread out or be together. With a game room upstairs complete with a mini kitchen, air hockey table and television, a living room area immediately off of the kitchen and a downstairs den with comfortable furniture and a big screen television.
The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook and serve a huge Thanksgiving dinner; all we had to do was bring the food. The dining room comes complete with costal views and two sliding glass doors to a beautiful deck to drink your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine for sunset.
From the deck you can hear the water cascading from the side yard where there is a built in waterfall and koi pond. Also outside is a fenced in area with a fire-pit, a magazine worthy outdoor grilling area and hot-tub.
If you do feel the need to leave Grand View, the Oceanside area is gorgeous. A five-minute drive to the north brings you to the tiny village where there is a coffee shop, a few restaurants and the beach. We loaded up the dogs a few times a day to spend hours walking the shore. Toward the north end of the beach there is tunnel that you can walk through to take you to another section of beach with tide pools and sea stacks.
